Beaches

  • La Mer Autrement, a place suitable for everyone, is located on Plage de la Vignette, within the grounds of the Renée Sabran Hospital (1.5 km from the La Presqu’île de Giens campsite).   • The designated beaches in the municipality of Hyères are: Plage de la Bergerie, Plage de l'Almanarre, Plage de l'Ayguade, and Plage des Salins.

  • No, dogs are prohibited on all beaches on the Giens Peninsula;
  • Plage du Mérou is dog-friendly, approximately 9 km from Camping La Presqu'île de Giens, between L'Ayguade and Les Salins;

A free shuttle takes you to Almanarre beach in July-August, Monday to Friday (9.30 to 12.30 am and 2.30 to 6.30 pm), every 10 minutes. In case of strong wind, you’ll be taken to La Bergerie, on the East side. On Tuesday morning, the shuttle takes you to the village market in Giens (8.30 to 12.30 am).
