Reception – Booking conditions – General information

1. Are visitors allowed to access the water park?
No.
2. My child is under 18 and wants to stay at the campsite with his friends. Is it possible?
No. In accordance with the internal regulations, minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal representative during their entire stay.
3. Are visitors allowed to visit me?
Yes. NB: Visitors not staying overnight will have to pay a daily tax of € 6. Please note: visitors are not allowed to access the water park.
4. Is the campsite accessible to people with reduced mobility?
Yes. The restaurant and mini-market are easily accessible. We have 3 adapted accommodations (Helios category). The water park is equipped with a swimming pool lift allowing the transfer from the wheelchair to the pool. Parking spaces, adapted toilets, private spaces in the toilets.
5. What if I arrive after 8 p.m.?
Do not panic! A night auditor will guide you to your pitch or your accommodation.
6. Is it possible to drive into the campsite at any time?
In order to preserve the tranquility of your nights, campsite entrance gates are closed from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. (from midnight to 7 a.m. in July-August).
7. What is the public transport around the campsite?
Bus line 67 runs between Hyères (town center and SNCF train station) and La Tour Fondue, bus-stop "Badine", 100 m from Campsite La Presqu’île de Giens.
8. Where are the supermarkets located?
In addition to the Vival mini-market located in the campsite, you will find hypermarkets and supermarkets within a 10 km-radius, in the town of Hyères: Casino, Chronodrive, Géant Casino (+ drive), Leclerc, Grand Frais, Intermarché (+ drive), Carrefour Market, Lidl, etc.  
9. Where and when can I go to a local market?
A market takes place every day in the area (Tuesday in Giens, Sunday in the Port of Hyères, etc.). Local markets are mentioned in the welcome booklet given on arrival and on the campsite's mobile application.
10. Does the Wi-Fi network cover the whole campsite? What is the price?
Yes, the different prices are displayed at the reception. Example: 1 day = € 4, 7 days = € 9, Family pack 4x14 days = € 42.
11. Are barbecues allowed? Do you rent planchas?
Only electric barbecues and planchas are authorized, which are not available for rental.
12. Is there a laundromat in the campsite?
Yes. It is open every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Prices (laundry included): € 6 for 6 kg, € 9 for 10 kg, € 2 for the dryer.
13. Is the wearing of the bracelet compulsory?
Yes, during all your stay; it allows us to ensure that all the people benefiting from the services of the campsite are really residents of it.
14. What are the available payment options?
We accept payments by credit card, bank transfer, or in cash.
15. Are animals allowed on the campsite?
  • Yes. This is an option, billed € 4,50 per night on a camping pitch, or € 6 per night in a rental (NB: maximum 1 animal per rental, tattoo and up-to-date vaccination will be anyway checked on arrival);
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash within the campsite;
  • 1st and 2nd category dogs are not allowed.
16. When should I pay the deposit and the balance for my stay?
  • For rentals: deposit on booking, balance 30 days before arrival.
  • For camping pitches: deposit on booking, balance on arrival.
17. How can I use my credit note?
By mentioning your customer number transmitted by our services when processing your file.
18. Am I required to take out cancellation insurance? What does your campsite cover if I don't subscribe to it?
No, this is an option. Please refer to the documents to be downloaded from the pages dealing with accomodations or camping pitches.
19. Is it possible to cancel my reservation or postpone my stay? What are your general conditions?
The booking conditions can be downloaded and attached to the reservation contract, upon signature of which they are deemed to have been accepted. As part of an internet reservation (which is equivalent to a contract), they must be checked before proceeding to the payment stage.
20. Is the campsite open year round?
No. The campsite only opens between beg April until the end of October.
21. Where can I find the campsite map?
We intentionally do not display the campsite map on our website. It will be given to you on arrival, with the welcome booklet.
22. What are the opening hours of Reception Office ?
Every day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
23. What are the possible arrival and departure times at the campsite?
  • For rentals: arrival from 4 p.m., departure before 10 a.m.
  • For camping pitches: arrival from 2 p.m., departure before noon.

Entertainment

1. Do you offer entertainment throughout the season?
Unfortunately not. Night shows are scheduled from mid-June to mid-September, and sports activities only in July-August.
2. Do you organize karaoke sessions or dance evenings?
No, due to current health guidelines.
3. What are the opening hours of the “miniclub”?
A mini-club (for children aged 4 to 8) operates from Monday to Friday in July-August. Hours: 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Free service upon registration (limited places).
4. Does the campsite have a children's club or a teenager's club?
No, there’s only a miniclub (for children aged 4 to 8).

Rentals (Mobile homes, Chalets and Canvas Lodge)

1. Do I have to schedule an appointment for the departure inventory?
No. Check-out control takes place between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., as soon as you have notified Reception Office that you are ready to leave.
2. Is it possible to set up a tent in front of my rental?
No, you will need to book an additional pitch, located in the area dedicated to tents.
3. Do the canvas lodges have a water point and an equipped kitchen?
The canvas lodges are located near a sanitary block and have a small equipped kitchen (See the page https://camping-giens.co.uk/rental-mobile-home-pitch-campsite/cabane-ecolodge-famille/), but no sink nor bathroom or WC.
4. Is it possible to put a baby bed in the parental sleeping room?
No.
5. Do you rent baby beds or chairs?
Yes, optional (baby bed & high chair kit: € 2 per night).
6. Are pillows and blankets provided?
Yes.
7. Do I have to pay a deposit on arrival?
Yes, amounting € 100 (by credit card). Deposit returned after the cleanliness inventory on departure day.
8. Where can I find the inventory of my accommodation?
The inventory is accessible by clicking on a button of the same name located on the page of each accommodation. It can also be sent to you by email, on request.
9. Is it possible to come with a trailer?
Generally not. Yes, only in certain cases, after validation by our services.
10. Is it possible to come with two cars?
Generally not. Yes, if you have booked a chalet Pacific, or in certain cases after validation by our services.
11. Is it possible to park my vehicle on my rental space?
Yes
12. Can I precisely choose my location in the campsite?
You can mention your preferences when making your reservation (for example: being close to the swimming pool or the playground, quiet, close to services, sunny, shaded location, close to your friends, another family...). When possible, the campsite will assign you the location that best suits your needs.
13. Are barbecues allowed? Do you rent planchas?
Only electric barbecues and planchas are authorized, which are not available for rental.
14. Are babies counted in the accommodation capacity?
Yes, babies are counted in the accommodation capacity, the maximum number of people in mobile homes must not be exceeded.

Camping spots

1. Are the pitches connected to water?
No. Water points are available next to the sanitary facilities.
2. Is an electric terminal available on my pitch? What equipment should I bring?
Yes. A terminal is located near each pitch (conventional or European sockets). To be comfortable, provide a 5-m-extension and a power strip. We provide adapters if needed, within the limit of available stock.
3. Is toilet paper available in the sanitary facilities?
No, it's up to everyone to bring their own toilet paper.
4. How are the sanitary facilities on the campsite equipped?
The campsite has 4 sanitary blocks equipped with crockery and laundry tubs, toilets, sinks and individual cabins (shower or shower + sink and undressing area). Two blocks have a nursery (WC, showers, baths and changing tables).
5. What is the size of the pitches?
Due to the vegetation, the pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes on the campsite have an average surface area of 70 to 80 m² (parking included).
6. Is it possible to come with a trailer?
Generally not. Yes, only in certain cases, after validation by our services.
7. Is it possible to park two cars on my camping pitch?
No. 1 camping pitch = 1 vehicle.
8. Is it possible to park my vehicle on my camping pitch?
Yes for caravan pitches, no for tent pitches, located in a pedestrian area not accessible to cars and trailers (parking nearby; 40 m maximum).
9. Can I precisely choose my location in the campsite?
You can mention your preferences when making your reservation (for example: being close to the swimming pool or the playground, quiet, close to services, sunny, shaded location, close to your friends, another family...). When possible, the campsite will assign you the location that best suits your needs.
10. Do you rent refrigerators?
Yes, but beware of the limited stock (reservation recommended). The option is billed at € 5 per night (delivery of the fridge to your pitch on arrival, deposit of € 30).
11. Are barbecues allowed? Do you rent planchas?
Only electric barbecues and planchas are authorized, which are not available for rental.

Swimming-pool – Water parc

1. Are visitors allowed to access the water park?
No.
2. Are swim shorts allowed?
No. For hygienic reasons, wearing a swim short, a burkini or a wetsuit is not allowed. Only anti UV t-shirts are accepted.
3. Is there a dedicated space for young children?
Yes, a paddling area is dedicated to them, with water games.
4. Is there a snack shop and cafe in the water park area?
Yes, the “Le Pointu” snack and cafe is open during the day from May to September.
5. Are the slides accessible to all ages? What is the minimum size required?
  • Minimum height to access the slides is 1.20 m
  • Recommended age is 8.
  • Waterslide regulations available in the download session.
6. Are children allowed to go alone to the swimming pool?
No. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
7. Are the pools heated in low season (spring and autumn)?
Yes
8. Is the water park open all season and what are the opening times?
Yes, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. in high season. Please consult the page https://camping-giens.co.uk/campsite-with-water-park.

Playground – Sport activities

1. What are the opening hours of the playground?
Playground is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
2. What kind of equipment is available on the playground?
The playground has a play module for toddlers (1 to 3 years old) with a slide, and a structure for children from 4 to 12 years old (NB: the presence of an adult is compulsory for supervision ).
3. Does the campsite have a multisports ground or a pétanque area?
  • On site: a volleyball court and a basketball hoop.
  • Leaving the campsite (50 meters): several “pétanque” playgrounds.

Restaurant

1. What is the price of the half-board and the full-board?
Only outside July-August, the "half-board" and "full-board" formulas are offered from 15 people, on request by e-mail to the address vivendo.hyeres@gmail.com.
2. Does the restaurant offer take-out service?
Yes.
3. How can I reach the restaurant Vivendo?
By phone (+33 489 96 15 09) or by e-mail (vivendo.hyeres@gmail.com).
4. What are the opening hours of the restaurant?
  • In July-August, the restaurant is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • In low season, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • These times are given as an indication and may vary depending on attendance.

Vival mini market

1. What kind of products can I buy at the convenience store?
All common food products, groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, bread and pastries, drugstore, beach items, local products, newspapers, souvenirs.
2. What are the opening hours of Vival mini market?
The mini market is open from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. in July-August).

Shuttle bus

1. Is it possible to privatize the shuttle-bus?
No.
2. Which beach is the shuttle taking us to? What are the schedules?
A free shuttle takes you to Almanarre beach in July-August, Monday to Friday (9.30 to 12.30 am and 2.30 to 6.30 pm), every 10 minutes. In case of strong wind, you’ll be taken to La Bergerie, on the East side. On Tuesday morning, the shuttle takes you to the village market in Giens (9 to 12.30 am).

Porquerolles – Port Cros – Le Levant (The Golden Islands)

1. Can I bring my bike to the islands? Are there suitable trails?
Yes, only on Porquerolles, for a supplement of around € 17 per bike. Rental possible on site, in the village.
2. Can I buy tickets at reception office?
No. Visit the website of TLV maritime company : https://www.tlv-tvm.com/en/.
3. How often are the maritime shuttles to Porquerolles?
In high season, approximately every 30 minutes. Visit the website of TLV maritime company : https://www.tlv-tvm.com/en/.
4. How long takes the crossing to the Golden Islands?
  • 20 minutes to Porquerolles (departure from La Tour Fondue);
  • About 1 hour to Port Cros (departure from Hyères Harbor);
  • Approximately 1h30 to Ile du Levant (departure from Hyères Harbor).

Bikes – Cycle paths

1. Is it possible to go to the beach by bike? Does the town have cycle paths?
  • Yes. A portion of one cycle path connects the campsite to Almanarre beach (1200 m west side).

2. Is it possible for my children to cycle in the campsite?
Yes. Be careful, however, to car traffic (limited to 10 km/h)
